Hundreds of exciting craft events take place every year during the month of May - Craft and Design Month brings them all together under one banner, with a particular highlight on events that have been specially organised for this amazing month of creativity.

Craft and Design Month is an exciting nationwide project that everyone can get involved with, and with FREE listings and FREE downloads it doesn't have to cost anyone very much at all.

Stuck for ideas? Perhaps you could organise an exhibition, or a street market, or open your studio to visitors? Or maybe you belong to a Guild and members could work together to organise something? Craft and Design Month was first launched in 2011 by craft&design magazine, the project receives no funding or grant aid. It's resounding success in it's inaugural year was entirely the result of hundreds of people working together to promote the amazing creative talent that we have in the UK.

Collectively we are widening the awareness of fine British craft and design and encouraging people to support their local artists and makers. Let's keep that momentum going and do it all again - and more - in 2012!
