Ceramics - Small Stoneware Slab Pots

Have a go at creating a selection of beautiful little slab pots. Learn slab building techniques using stoneware clay to create cute little pots perfect for planting a collection of cacti or succulents. The earthy texture of stoneware is perfect for creating boxy, chunky and cute pots. You will learn about the options for decorating your pots and leave them with us for firing.

Silversmithing - Rings and Things

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
This courSilversmithing at The Potters Barnse teaches you how to make silver rings using traditional Silversmithing techniques. Basic skills on finger measuring and ring sizing will be taught. Students will study various designs using sterling silver in sheet and wire form and
will
produce at least 2 rings of their own design during the day.

Crewelwork workshop with Sara Dennis

Event Type: Craft Course/Workshop
You will learn a variety of Jacobean stitches using Appleton's crewel wool. This technique enjoys an element of fantasy with pink animals, blue trees and purple landscapes; so stitches combine with outrageous colours to create weird and wonderful dioramas. As a twist on the traditional I also incorporate designs using established stitches with monochromes; you can decide. Book by: 15 May '18
