This year Craft and Design Month are working with Adult Learners’ Week; the UK’s largest festival of learning.
Taking place from 12 – 18 May 2012, thousands of events will inspire adults of all ages to try something new and discover where learning could take them.
The new Arts and Culture theme, introduced this year, will encourage adults to get involved in craft activities – for more information contact simon.beer@niace.org.uk.
For the second year there is a special award recognising Learning through Craft. The announcement of this year’s winner will be closer to Adult Learners’ Week itself. If you want to see the story of last year’s winner you can view it here.
For those of you holding craft events as part of Craft and Design Month you can increase your publicity to a national level and attract new audiences by uploading your activities to the Adult Learners’ Week free online Events Diary.
Your events will be searchable on the Adult Learners’ Week website and will be referred to when callers contact 0800 100 900 to find out what’s happening in their area.
